Tried to follow a time lapse video that I downloaded somewhere long time ago .. This is where I arrived after 2 hrs of sculpting .. I should say I really had a hard time sculpting the lips .. happy sculpting :)

after retopo .. still a lot more to go, a lot more to learn .. after spending all those time in retopologizing I still cant get enough polys for making the fingers, a very big mistake which I have to learn from .. I think I cant put more details on fingers.. lets see :)

made the base mesh in maya and then did the sculpting in zbrush .. topology is lot messed up and I cant proceed any further with shaping things which left me with painful process of retopologizing the model .. 
not yet done .. still lot more to go :)

Key Chain


this is actually a key chain in my house, thought of modeling it .. and this is the first model which I started from zsphere and also enjoyed playing with the pen-tablet .. zsphere is indeed powerful :)

Archangel


Hmm.. I did this for the Archangel sculpting challenge in threedy forum . Sure this is nothing compared to the rest of the final submissions in the challenge but am happy with what I got in 3 hours. Probably this may look much of a biker with wings :) as my mind dint work too well to think on something new :) Here you can see other entries of the challenge ..

The making of something :)

Decided to make a character right from the scratch but I dint have any sketch made . I made a simple base mesh in maya and imported to zbrush, could have started using zsphere but am not familiar with that yet. The problem with starting like this without having a topology is you go on sculpting in zbrush loosing track of time. Once you start sculpting you can never probably end it :) because you are not easily satisfied with what you have got . This is what I got after some 2 hours sculpting, and really am not pretty satisfied with it :)
Have to retoplology this one and take that to maya to stitch UVs and to add more details in zbrush. Actually I dont know what detail to add more than this, lets see how this ends up. And really I dont have a name for this character yet if anyone of you reading thsi can suggest one, it will be more of a favour :)

Almost completed !




Thats it .. I think am done with the biker, I have been riding on with him for long, but now its time to switch on to some other character .. Am not satisfied with his beard though, but lets have him like this for now and later if my knowledge on zbrush improves may be I will touch him a little bit .. And his body too needs a lot more detailing compared to his face, which I have to look on later ..

Biker Boy



I sculpted this model in zbrush, followed a tutorial to bring this.. I could have never done this with a 32 bit OS. Two days back I installed Vista 64 bit and it helps a lot with zbrush, apart from it its a lot annoying than xp. I dint even get an 64bit supported driver for my Ethernet adapter :( so to use internet I had no other option but to dual boot my system :( any way Im happy that am learning something in Zbrush :) happy modelling guys :)
